Day 2: To the Windmill in Borovnice and the History of Pecka Castle

Head to the picturesque village of Borovnice and let yourself be captivated by the story of the windmill that, despite fires, relocations, and time, has risen again – quite literally! The replica of the windmill, which operates from May to October just as it did in the old days, will take you back to a time when grain was ground on stones and the whole region smelled of flour. And while you're in the area, head to Pecka Castle, where the history of the Middle Ages and traditional crafts come to life.

Day 3: From Vízmburk to the Stars in Úpice and Craftsmanship in Radeč

Embark on a journey through secrets, legends, and stars to a region that will surprise you at every turn. Vízmburk Castle, nicknamed the "Krkonoš Pompeii," tells the story of a long-lost settlement, rediscovered only through archaeology and the care of local enthusiasts. After exploring the ruins, head to Úpice – a town where you can delve into not only history but also the universe. The local observatory opens the sky to all. And for those craving stories from the times of our grandmothers, head to the timbered Dřevěnka or visit the exhibition about the Čapek family. When you're in the mood for a taste of rural life, visit the Radeč Museum, where history smells of wood, iron, and honest craftsmanship. A trip that connects centuries into one unforgettable day.
