Žacléř - Rýchorská bouda

The circular route from Žacléř to Rýchorská bouda promises a busy hiking trip. Head from the square to the path that leads past the Královský pramen well, above Žacléř Château, and then along the yellow-marked ridge trail Hřebenovka. Along the way you will enjoy spectacular views of the county. Above the porcelain factory you can then take the Hadí cesta, which leads above the Boberská hillside. The second option will take you over the crossroads at Bílý Kříž, over Žacléřský hřbet and past the Hubertus chalet, where you can stop and get refreshments. The seating area is located by Röhrichtův kříž. The journey to Rýchory will then be a piece of cake. You will pass Rýchorský kříž, where you will cross the Cesta bratří Čapků, then you will get more views of the region and, via the signpost in Kutná, only be a hop, skip and jump away from Rýchorská bouda. If you get there at the right time you can reward yourself with a dewy pint or tried-and-tested delicacies from the local kitchen.

Dvorský les

However, if you are looking for a trip to the countryside, you cannot miss Dvorský les. This little-touched by man piece of nature is located at an altitude of 1,033 metres. The atmosphere of the mixed forest with twisted beech trees is reminiscent of the backdrops of Tim Burton’s scary films. However, the truth is that in Dvorský les you will encounter untouched nature with many species of mosses, lichens and plants rather than ghosts.

Tips

On the way back, try to plan a visit to the Hornický skanzen Museum. You will taste the view from the mining tower, peek into the coal treatment plant, the newly accessible Jitřenka head frame or the engine room of the Jan pit with the original mining machine and an exhibition of mining equipment.

The hiking trip from Žacléř, starting at the Mining Open-Air Museum, to Rýchorská bouda and back through Dvorský Forest covers a substantial 19 kilometers with an elevation gain of over 600 meters.
