Stezka Českem

The Chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary stands at an altitude of 1,035 m above sea level on the border of Kunštát u Orlického Záhoří, Černá Voda and Velké and Malé Zdobnice. The simple Baroque chapel with a circular plan was built as a stop for local woodcutters. After World War II it was damaged and fell into disrepair. However, it was repaired in the 1960s, and later reconstructed and consecrated again. Today, the Jirásek Trail runs around it.
For walkers, hikers and pilgrims who want to test their fitness and get to know a piece of our countryside, we can really recommend the Orlické Mountains section of the Northern Branch of the Czech Trail. This ninety-kilometre stretch leads through small villages, forests and along the overgrown ridges of the Orlické Mountains and promises a peaceful and beautiful hike that the most experienced hikers can manage in just three days.
However, if you don’t have enough time or determination or don’t feel like hiking the whole section, choose at least part of it. For example, a trip to Zemská brána is attractive, but the fresh air and beautiful nature are also offered by the Žamberk forests.
